Chandelier makeover
Posted: May 31, 2010 – 3:52 pm
Since I recently got a new chandelier, I decided to spruce up my old one and put it on Craigslist. Dave Ramsey would be so proud.
I think one of the reasons I hated the old chandelier is because the brown spray paint that I used on it was just TOO RED. Brown spray paints can be that way.
So I used Modern Masters English Brown with some glaze….
and my handy tool for glazing small items….

And just toned down the reddish brown.

I timed it for you just so you know this isn’t rocket science….

You can be fast and furious…..
It took me 30 minutes MAX. I’m sure I got distracted with snacks, kids, taking pictures during that time.
With some new shades on it…. I think it’s adorable!
(the shades are NOT crooked, but I was making my hubby stand on a chair and hold this thing up for a picture and I didn’t have the heart to ask him to do it again!!!!)

In other news……
The love of my life is working on the buffet so I can get started painting! I had planned on painting it a bright green, but since the TEAL buffet hasn’t sold… I’m feelin‘ a little gun shy.

Hope you all had a lovely Memorial Day. Thank you to those of you who defend the rights of our country!
